Race Report - WCA 100 mile TT (podium for Tony)...

On a wet and miserable Sunday morning in Abergavenny, TRCC's Tony Jones clinched the silver medal at the Welsh Cycling Association 100 mile time trial.

The appalling weather took it's toll on the field with a number of non-starters before the event and a fair share of riders failing to finish.

It was therefore full credit to Jones in powering through the conditions to register a time of 3hrs 43mins 59secs which was enough to secure second place behind distance specialist Conrad Moss of the Mid Devon CC who clocked in at 3hrs 39mins 13secs. The podium was completed by another local rider, Bynea CC' s Chris Gibbard who's time of 3hrs 47mins 34secs couldn't match the two veterans in front of him.
