2021 ATAC Junior Duathlon at Pembrey

Last weekend saw continued success for Towy Riders cyclists, who entered the ATAC Junior Duathlon at Pembrey off road race circuit.

Mali Beynon started the event success by achieving silver medal position in the Under 8's race, with team mate Alys Williams coming in 7th.

Later, in the Under 10s event, Noa Jac was the first boy to cross the line in the A Heat Final, with Team mate Griff Beynon not far behind in 3rd, and first time competitor Caleb Snelson also crossing the line inside the top 10. In the Under 10s B Heat Final, first time racer Alwena Morgan crossed the line first, and teammate Tomos Hill also finished inside the top 10.

Towy Riders coach Simon Williams said "The experience of these recent duathlon races will help our riders in the forthcoming Welsh Cycling cyclocross events, which begin later this month. For lots of these children, this is their first season of competition, and to be able to have their first competition and attend events locally at the great facilities we have here in Carmarthenshire is fantastic for them. Huge credit to our friends at Ammanford Triathlon and Cycling Club for creating and hosting the event."
